The Society of Amateur Vikings for General Reenactment (SAVGR) was founded as a community organization
in 2015 and we established 501c3 status in 2024.
We are a living history group completely run by volunteers that teaches Viking history by creating an
immersive environment.
We teach folk arts that Vikings used and allow patrons to touch and feel replicas of Viking material
culture.
We also serve our community by providing teaching experiences at several family friendly festivals in
the
Mid Atlantic region while offering a unique approach to history & culture that cannot be taught in
classrooms.
